Fair Burks taught at the University of Maryland—Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland. She appears in numerous yearbooks of the school. None appear to have been copyrighted, as no mark appears after an exhaustive search viewing each page. In addition, a check of the Catalog of Copyright Entries for Jan-June 1976 and July-Dec 1976 shows nothing registered as Hawk (only appears as a surname or part of a title, not as the name of a registered work) or for the University of Maryland in conjunction with a yearbook.
