Esta fiesta es también referida por los pobladores de la comunidad como "El 8 chiquito" refiriendo que la fiesta del 8 de septiembre es la fiesta "menor" precediendo a la fiesta "mayor" del pueblo el 8 de diciembre de cada año que es la celebracion de la Inmaculada Concepción, patrona de Zapotlán.
