Summary

Description
English: Soldiers trenches In the late 1700's, 20 years or so after Culloden, there was a plan hatched by the Redcoats that remained in Rannoch to oversee the running of things. The intention was to drain Rannoch Moor and turn it into a green and pleasant land. This was to be achieved by digging drainage ditches and drying out the land for grazing etc. It didn't really get off the ground as it were. There are still a few indications of the ditches remaining.
