DescriptionThe River Rye in flood May 2006 from Howe Bridge (A169) - geograph.org.uk - 173708.jpg
English: The River Rye in flood May 2006 from Howe Bridge (A169) This is where Costa Beck joins the River Rye in Ryedale. This land floods regularly. A few years ago the A169 road level was raised approximately 6 feet to allow the passage of traffic when the river is in flood. The scheme was a success.
