A belated welcome![edit]

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Berryforperpetuity! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Hi, you made a mistake by removing my edit to the Maurice Coindreau page. I added Flannery O'Connor to the list of authors he had translated. Please restore.
Thank you. 2603:7000:A2F0:42B0:5C83:4C9B:2556:99B7 (talk) 14:19, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I noted an error on the formatting, which is why I presumed it was a test edit. I've restored your edits, although the two you made after my reversal have not been added. I apologies for any confusion. BerryForPerpetuity (talk) 14:25, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i am so sorry for my previous actions. I was a fool. hanging around with the wrong crowd. listening to their foolish activism. i have since slaughtered their families and saw the light of redemption. i wish for you not to remember me as a scoundrel or a menace. but think of me like your dad. I too want to leave on a good note. I'll be home next week child. 149.106.175.70 (talk) 12:56, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

April 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page X-Plane (simulator) has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 11:15, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I reverted unexplained removal of content in the page. I did not make any edits to the page. You may have me confused with someone else. BerryForPerpetuity (talk) 04:13, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Your edit summary while reverting is Unexplained content removal, but the IP who removed the content had provided reasons and thus 'explained' them, albeit his edits were still wrong and your reversion was right. This may confuse the IP as to where they were wrong. The correct edit summary would be to ask the IP to bring the matter to talk page and explain in length before doing such major edit. If you have any more question, you may ping me or ask at WP:Teahouse. Regards, ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 15:20, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I'll go more in-depth in my edit summaries next time I revert non-obvious vandalism like that. I'm still very new to recent changes patrolling, so your advice is very much appreciated. Thank you :) BerryForPerpetuity (talk) 15:23, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

Information icon Hi BerryForPerpetuity! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Mutual UFO Network several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Mutual UFO Network, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Shadow311 (talk) 19:07, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I was under the impression that multiple reverts were considered edit warring when there were 3 or more reverts, per WP:3RR. I also pointed the user to the talk page before making such a drastic change to the article in my summary. If there was something different I could have done in this situation, or a policy I looked over, please let me know and point me in the correct direction. Thank you. --BerryForPerpetuity (talk) 19:40, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

Hi BerryForPerpetuity. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Fastily 21:32, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
