while avoiding 'political' issues of the free software movement generally,

just note that software can start out as licensed/copyrighted/patented, and yet,

in other jurisdictions, or after time, or by release of rights, become freeware.


for others to figure out: under the current definition, spyware, addware, etc., so long as free and open source would qualify here as 'free'. that doesn't seem helpful/within the intended definition of 'free'. Ie. you pay a price for it, if not in cash.YSWT (talk) 00:13, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
