I deleted the reference to RFC 1203. RFC 1203 ("IMAP3") was a crank proposal aimed at discrediting IMAP2, and as such never got off the ground. Among other things, IMAP3 was so ambiguously specified that it was unimplementable. The only impact "IMAP3" has today is that the standards track IMAP (a direct successor of IMAP2) got called IMAP4.

In case, the last that I heard MM does not implement any version of IMAP —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.124.149.116 (talk) 06:13, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
