Comments[edit]

Hi everyone.

I am the Lead PM for Windows Live Gallery. What type of information would people want to see here? I would love to help build this page, but I know people can be touchy regarding what companies put up about their own sites...

Thanks!

Just try to put in as much information as possible without:

  • Including marketing material.
  • Including bias in either direction.
  • Making the text complicated to read or convoluted in structure.

If you need examples, find a page about a popular software product and study it for a few minutes to get a feel for the kind of style you should employ.

Happy contributing,

Is it ok to update pages about your own products/companies? Doesn't this violate Wikipedia policies?
That's correct. See WP:COI. If there is some factual pieces you'd like to suggest we include, you can post them on the talk page and I can consider them. If there's ever anything you disagree with Wikipedia saying, post it on Wikipedia:Requests for comment. Otherwise, I'd recommend letting the article development and brainstorming happen without getting involved at all. -- Zanimum 16:41, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did a few additions/corrections to the Add-ons subsection before I saw your comments, but I'll use the process you suggest going forward. If you want me to revert my edits, I can do so. One thing that might be good additions is a link to our developer center that has information on how to create the items and special information for hosting it on Gallery. Thoughts? Also, I noticed that you have our old version number there... ;-) Chris Butler MSFT 18:33, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What is the correct version number? Pikablu0530 06:22, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New version of Windows Live Gallery[edit]

Hi again.

We have released a new version of Windows Live Gallery that includes emoticons, winks, display pictures and other personal expression content for Windows Live Messenger. Would it be appropriate to update the article now?

Thanks! --Chris Butler MSFT 20:59, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discontinued[edit]

Windows Live Gallery was officially retired on October 1, 2011. So says the article, and it is right.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 02:39, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
