From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am an attorney and Certified Civil Circuit Court Mediator. I was an English major in college, so I am well versed in writing. My father served in the US Navy in World War II on the USS Saranac (AO-74) in the Pacific War. I have been studying World War II history for 40 years and writing about it for 30 years. History is consensus of fact and probability. It is important to present it objectively, accurately and follow the Wikipedia:Golden rule. One should further remember that just because text may be "sourced", that does not automatically equal notability. Too many editors do not practice discernment when editing. Just adding walls of text or an excessive amount of intricate detail does not lead to a better article; see WP:NOTEVERYTHING and especially the sub-section WP:INDISCRIMINATE. "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information." And policy states, "Wikipedia articles usually rely on material from reliable secondary sources." See also WP:RS.

It is worth noting that Wikipedia:Article size calls for articles to be no more than 10,000 words. Also, grammar footnotes: German language nouns, even common nouns, are always capitalized; use italics for phrases in other languages and for isolated foreign words that are not currently used in English, per WP:MOS and MOS:TEXT; that does not include acronyms or abbreviations. Lastly, due to real life matters, I have no choice but to be less active on Wikipedia. I will reply to messages, et cetera when I can. Thank you.
