Biography[edit]

Münzenmaier was a member of the German Freedom Party before joining the AfD in 2013. He became member of the bundestag after the 2017 German federal election. He is a member of the Committee for Tourism.[2]

Münzenmaier has been legally convicted of grievous bodily harm. He had helped other members of the 1. FC Kaiserslautern hooligans to ambush fans of the Mainz 05 football club. He picked up the people who were unfamiliar with the area at a gas station and brought them to the stadium. The judge said the attack happened there “with the knowledge and will” of Münzenmaier. Münzenmaier has to pay a fine of 10,000 euros.[3]
