Could someone explain how the name of this town is pronounced?

Spanish language the stress would be on the "e". The Spanish spelling of
Merida has an accent over the e meaning the e is stressed.

That picture right there on the page of the UNESCO World Heritage Site (Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida) is the Teatro Romano. That's the specific location I mean. Somehow needs to be linked up but there's not WP article on it. Kristinwt (talk) 05:01, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
