Dorothy Olsen FAC

About 5 years ago, I started Dorothy Olsen (I don't remember if this was a WIR project or not). Olsen was a member of the Women Airforce Service Pilots, a group of women civilian pilots flying ferry and training missions for the US military during World War II. It's a FA candidate now. Please take a look and leave comments on the review page, thanks. RoySmith (talk) 14:01, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

Mary Alice "Micky" Dwyer-Dobbin

Mary's bio is missing a husband. She was also married to Walter Edward Brunty in 1980 in Baton Rouge, LA. They divorced Aug 1991. Then she went back to NY and remarried Leon. There are a lot of newspaper articles about them in LA. A shariff and a mortgage company were trying to find in her 1993. I have her in my tree in Ancestry. 2600:1702:3650:CCC0:B894:858E:E669:7B04 (talk) 03:08, 29 February 2024 (UTC)

Women's month categorization drive

Hello. In honor of women's month, there is a categorization drive. You can help populating the Category:Women's firsts, which would be appreciated. Special attention is needed in the categories with only one or very few entries. Sincerely, --Thinker78 (talk) 05:16, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

Just created two articles in scope with helping women's presence in Wikipedia

Hello, I just created to articles, but has tags on them. Perhaps someone could take a look at them, other than myself (since I created them). The one with the categorization tag, I don't know how to put or make a categorization in code for an article page.

Brenda Cárdenas Thomae <-- This one has a tag that it needs revision on grammar and tone.

Chimalxochitl II <-- This one has a tag that it needs categorization

Maybe interesting? - Geomapped Femicide in Ireland 1922 - 2022

Dear WikiProject Women editors, I came across this generated map of Femicides occurring in Ireland between 1922 - 2022 (with References) in one of my nightly Reddit doomscrolls. I thought it may be of use or interest to your project or someone within your network. I also suggested to the original poster to consider using Wikidata or even a Wikibase instance to map and enrich their current data. Link to Google Map and Reddit Original post. I hope it is useful to you, if not then please disregard. Kind regards, Danny Benjafield (WMDE) Danny Benjafield (WMDE) (talk) 14:45, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to a Discussion

Hello everyone,

I wanted to reach out to all the participants of this project to let you know about a recent discussion I've initiated regarding the inclusion (or more accurately, exclusion) of women's sports in the "In the News" section of the front page. Given your active involvement in discussions about women's articles, I warmly invite each of you to join the conversation and share your valuable insights on this matter. Your perspectives are crucial in shaping a more inclusive and representative platform. Thank you for your contributions.

Best regards, PrinceofPunjabTALK 04:52, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
