The 1983 Primera División de Fútbol Profesional season. At the end of the regular season, the top 6 teams took part in Qualifying round, this was followed by a final group stage. Aguila were named Champions after topping the final group stage

Luis Angel Firpo purchase of Agave spot in the Primera Division[edit]

On the Firpo acquired the spot of Agave F.C. in the Primera division. This ended the club solo appearance in the Primera division.[1]
