The women's 400 metre freestyle competition at the 2006 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships took place on August 17 at the Saanich Commonwealth Place.[1][2][3] The last champion was Diana Munz of US.[4]

This race consisted of eight lengths of the pool, with all eight being in the freestyle stroke.[5]
