It began on 21 July 2023.[2]

Teams[edit]

Vejle Boldklub won the 2022–23 Danish 1st Division and made a immediate return to top flight,[3] while Hvidovre IF[4] secured 2nd place and will play in the first tier division for the first time since 1997. The two teams replaced AC Horsens and AaB, making it the first time since 1986 that AaB would not play in the top tier division.
