There are some excellent references for American Engravers, such as Stauffer and Fielding's 3-volume list of more than 700 American engravers, with biographical articles. I'd like to add that reference and others to this category page, and also a paragraph or two, placed above the list that is already there. Or, instead, I'll be happy to create a separate page on "American Copperplate Engravers".
