As you know the British Bank of Athens-1893 was absorbed in 1906 .The other Bank of Athens - 1995 was registered as a Bank at Karavasilis from 1924.It was not original Bank of Athens-1860 /see brithish Banking Almanac for 1995.The English Bank of Athens-1893 did a part in the Banking world at present.The bank was with Greek protection since 1860 and had been merged with NBG-1841 as the Bank of Athens-1893.But the mentioned banque had not any connection with the new Bank of Athens-1995. The Bank of Athens-1893, was the First National Bank
of Athens-1860 year,class National Bank,see international banks-Banque D'Athenes.The greek part of the banque protection was merged with the Banque Nationale de Grece as international banks,
but sertificates are American!The french branch of the Banque d'Athenes was merged with NBG/Athens on 14.11.2002,when the BNG/France was merged with NBG/Athens.
