I don't know how to add categories, but these articles should be in Category:data serialization formats and/or Category:encodings

These:

are encoding/serialization formats of

 ASN.1

Yes, I was about to write exactly the same. ASN.1 is not a serialization format but appears in the Category; BER, CER, DER, PER, XER are well-known serialization formats "of ASN.1" (strictly speaking, it's slightly more complicated).

so ASN.1 IMHO should even be removed from the Category after adding BER, CER, DER, PER, XER Steffen (talk) 13:17, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
