He's not on this list because he's from Northern Ireland, he is listed under British cyclists. Thaf (talk) 09:32, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What definition of "cyclist" are we taking as the thresh-hold for inclusion here? I would have assumed that professionalism, or participation at highest level (Olympics in amateur era) would be required, and on that basis removed Paul Smith (raced competitively up to age of 18, had harboured ambitions of turning pro but accident cut career short) from this list, but Thaf reverted.
