All other coutries have the category listed as "Field armies of xxx" where 'xxx' is the name of a country. Why is Japan the only country listed differently? Mfields1 20:59, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A little late but those armies of the Imperial Japanese Army categorized here were the equivalent, both in size, role and composition, to corps in most other armed forces. The English term for the real field armies of the IJA is Area Army, and those are indeed categorized under Category:Field armies of Japan. ...GELongstreet (talk) 00:11, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
