Winnowing out Daggers and Machetes from Knives[edit]

The "Knives" category was getting unwieldy at around 140 articles. I had a slow night waiting for a Space-A flight, so I managed to pare it down to about 95 by moving articles to the sub-categories of "Knife manufacturing companies", "Daggers", and the newly-created category "Machetes". Separating "Knives" from "Knifemakers"?[edit]

There are a goodly number of knifemakers (Kershaw, Spyderco) who are not listed in the Knives category, while Strider, DOVO Solingnen, and others are. Anyone object to my going through and changing the categories in knifemaker articles to more accurately reflect the category? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MatthewVanitas (talkcontribs) 14:12, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please remove the link to Misericord.

And while you're at it, Kard goes on this page, and an argument could be made for Cinquedea and Kunai.204.95.23.122 01:34, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rotary knife[edit]

Article needed. Very low cutting power because no scraping action. Used in tailoring to prevent movement of cloth while cutting. 62.253.44.47 (talk) 23:54, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
