Rename/move[edit]

This category could be renamed to "Mining in Australia" to be analogous to "Agriculture in Australia". The main article of this renamed category would be Mining in Australia.

A slightly different approach: "Mines of Australia" could be a subcategory of "Mining in Australia" since there are probably enough mines in Australia to warrant it. "Mining towns of Australia" should be a sibling category of this, not a child. — Donama 01:23, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead with the second approach, which didn't involve renaming this cat. Seemed to make more sense given existing structures. — Donama 01:29, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Presumably it is active - current mines - not historical/closed - could someone confirm? North Mt Lyell was absorbed into Mt Lyell which although the mine still exists - the company does not ?User:SatuSuro 11:34, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
