Subcats[edit]

Given the creation of categories such as Category:Heritage sites in Canada (which this shoudl be a subcat of, not the otehr way around) and Category:Heritage sites in British Columbia, would it be too awkward-looking to have Category:National Historic Sites of Canada in British Columbia, which would be the parent cat of the latter? Otherwise the heritage sites and Historic Sites hierarchies will be parallel, rather than related through subcatting. Thoughts?Skookum1 (talk) 12:59, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This category has clear inclusion guidelines. Category:Heritage sites in Canada does not and is prone to cruft and boosterism and never should have been created. --Kevlar (talkcontribs) 21:51, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I beg to differ with the above. The category which I created is an umbrella category to cover all levels of heritage sites in Canada whether they are recognized on a world, federal, provincial/territorial or municipal level. The comment about boosterism and cruft is unfounded. clariosophic (talk) 21:33, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
