Adding new cat?[edit]

There is a difference between a school and a Yeshiva with regard to men, namely that the former is typically a high-school system that often includes secular studies, while the latter equivalent, generally referred to as a seminary, is usually post-high school, and typically does not include secular studies. So I suggest that a separate category from this one be created: Category:Orthodox Jewish seminaries for girls. Can I please have some opinions from the other editors on this matter. Thanks. Yehoishophot Oliver (talk) 12:46, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that a separate category here would be warranted. Winchester2313 (talk) 02:05, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This might be a good idea, although labeling might be enough. Also, just to note that seminaries often do include secular studies, and even can result in degrees.Mzk1 (talk) 21:46, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Often? I do not agree. In any case, a seminary is a different type of institution from a high school. Yehoishophot Oliver (talk) 04:38, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
O.K., almost always. Seminary is short for "teacher's seminary", and will generally include education courses.Mzk1 (talk) 21:03, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I see here high schools, seminaries, even midrashiyot. Splitting this relatively small category into so many subcategories might not be a good idea. The word "school" is perhaps general enough to unite all of these under. Debresser (talk) 05:13, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why? We have separate articles for Yeshivot and Kollelim. Yehoishophot Oliver (talk) 14:47, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
