I just made this category; I hope it will be useful.
Here are some questions that I had as I was making this:
- Should documentaries be included as well as fictional films? I really don't tend to see people calling documentaries "procedurals," so I left them out, hoping that others who have stronger opinions would comment. I definitely think that so-called semidocumentaries should count.
- Should we have subcategories for different subtypes, like medical, police, scientific, &c.? Considering that a medical procedural would likely include the category, "Medical-themed films," it may be redundant to list them in subcategories, especially if the subcategories are small.
- Where does procedural leave off? When I was looking for medical procedural films, I recalled And the Band Played On, Awakenings, and Lorenzo's Oil. I included none of these, because I wasn't sure if they werte procedural enough. superlusertc 2007 July 30, 04:02 (UTC)
