Coverage[edit]

The Public Service prize is a gold medal awarded to a newspaper but there are no newspapers in this category.

Our prize article Pulitzer Prize for Public Service quotes the official citations as compiled on the "Public Service" Pulitzer webpage. The 96 prize citations thru 2013 identify only 24 contributors, mainly reporters, and no person was identified until 1947.

We have 13 bluelinks and 11 redlinks for the 24 named "Winners". All 13 are among the 28 pages now in the category, which is complete coverage in one sense.
