Jazz Nigerian Slang[edit]

Jazz can be defined as magical or supernatural power used for protection against weapons or to show strength and to achieve some purposes. For example, someone possessing a jazz can have a mystical way of preventing bullets from piercing through his or her body. In the old days men and women used to have these jazz, however nowadays, only fewer men have jazz and it's no longer fashionable because of the influence of Christianity in the last century. The Nigerian, Nollywood plays a similar act of jazz in Isakabar and these things are real. Jazz is not a too strange thing to the older generations especially in Nigeria, little wonder there is a stronger attachment of many to the stronger and Almighty God through Christianity and other religion by Nigerians.
