While I agree that 19th and 20th century lynchings and violence against African Americans and whites who were their allies were a form of terrorism, to combine all that history and add events from those days to the list of "terrorist incidents" seems to be more confusing and misleading than not. In the late 20th and 21st century, "terrorist incident" has a particular kind of meaning. Individual lynchings and race riots do not seem to be in the same category.
