"On" the Navajo Nation vs. "In" the Navajo Nation[edit]

I would say "on reservation," but "in the nation." I think using the category title "Uranium mining on the Navajo Nation" recalls the time when the Navajo Nation was still called the Navajo Reservation and should be changed. Karmos (talk) 20:08, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:ENGVAR. This is a Navajo topic, so Navajo English applies. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 00:29, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't realize that the Navajo said "on the Navajo Nation." I'd seen "within the Navajo Nation" used several times on the Navajo Nation page and assumed that variant was more correct.Karmos (talk) 02:28, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It might change in the future, but for now, it's "on". Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 02:50, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
