Chapit-e Sofla (Persian: چاپيت سفلي), also Romanized as Chāp‘īt-e Soflá; also known as Choqā Peyat-e Soflá, Choghā Peyat-e Soflá, and Chagha Beit Sofla,^[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Tarhan-e Gharbi Rural District of Tarhan District, Kuhdasht County, Lorestan province, Iran.^[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,104 in 221 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 955 people in 218 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 713 people in 203 households.^[2]
