Cindy Williams Gutiérrez is an American poet and dramatist.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Gutierrez was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas.[1]

She earned an MFA from the University of Southern Maine Stonecoast Program.[3]

Career[edit]

In 2014, Poets & Writers named Gutiérrez a notable debut poet.[4] In 2015, she was a finalist in the International Latino Book Awards.[3] Gutiérrez received a 2016 Oregon Literary Fellowship.[4]
