The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) is a tertiary level government hospital in the Philippines with an authorized bed capacity of one thousand (1000).[1] It is located along Lacson Street, Bacolod, Negros Occidental.
History[edit]
According to the historical marker installed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines in 2012, the hospital was established as the Occidental Negros Provincial Hospital, by virtue of Act No. 3114 in 1925 and was inaugurated on 24 March 1926. Sixto Orosa was appointed as its first executive from 1926 to 1936. During World War II, was used as a base by the Japanese forces and reopened after the war in 1945. In 1968, the hospital was renamed Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital in honor of the donor of the land on which it stands and was designated as a regional hospital in 1985.
