The 1 złoty coin is a Polish złoty coin after the 50 groszy coin and before the 2 złote coin. It started production in 1929 and ended in 1939, and came back on 1 January 1999 during the reform of the złoty. Back then in 1929, the 1 złoty coin was the highest monetary valued coin of Poland. On the obverse it features the Polish eagle and the text rzeczpospolita polska and the date, and on the reverse it shows the text 1 złoty and some leaves.

The modern design has the same obverse design just smaller writing, and on the reverse shows a bolder 1 and an entire set of leaves wrapped around.
