Aru Dell'Arte is an American dance company founded by choreographer and dancer Olga Aru.[1] Established in 2021, the company is known for its innovative and socially conscious approach to dance, addressing issues of social justice, mental health awareness, and environmental concerns.

Productions[edit]

Aru Dell'Arte has produced a variety of shows, ranging from full-length ballets to interdisciplinary performances. Notable productions include:

"Ode In Free Verse" (2022), an interdisciplinary performance that premiered at DCAC and ATLAS [2] Performing Arts Center in Washington, DC produced and curated by Olga Aru.

"Requiem Today" (2022), a one-act modern ballet performed within "Ode In Free Verse" and in other shows.

"Christmas Legend - Modern Nutcracker Story" (2022), premiered at CULTURALDC'S Source Theatre in Washington, DC.[3]

"Life Of Movement" (2023) elements of ethno-fusion dance with storytelling, drawing inspiration from Ukrainian, African, and Babylonian narratives. Premiered at ArtSpace Silver Spring, MD. Produced and choreographed by Olga Aru.

Work In Film[edit]

Aru Dell'Arte also contributes to the art of dance film, with each production exploring themes of human emotion, connection, and the beauty of dance. These films captivate audiences with their visual poetry and emotive performances, showcasing the company's commitment to artistic excellence and innovation in storytelling through movement.
