Bryan Tropeano is an American mountaineer known for his climbs in South America, North America, Africa, Europe and the Himalayas. He has successfully summited Mt. Everest in May 2023, as well as solo climbs across the Americas and Africa. Climbing in the the Appalachian Mountains and North America, he is known for his solo ascents.

Early life[edit]

Bryan Tropeano was born and raised in Virginia, United States, where he developed a deep appreciation for the natural world. Growing up surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains, he started his climbing career at a young age, and progressed through mentorships from renowned climbing schools of IMG, Apline Ascents and RMI.

Education[edit]

Mr. Tropeano attended Virginia Tech, where he pursued a degree in Business, with a focus on mountain ecology. During his time at university, he actively engaged in outdoor clubs and organizations, further fueling his passion for mountaineering.

Mountaineering career[edit]

Tropeano's mountaineering journey began with explorations in the Appalachian Mountains. He embarked on numerous expeditions, gradually devleoping his skills to climb the peaks of Chimborazo, Antisana, Cotopaxi, Kilimanjaro, and numerous other peaks across the world.

Throughout his career, Tropeano has prioritized responsible and sustainable mountaineering practices. He advocates for the preservation of mountain ecosystems and actively participates in environmental conservation efforts.


Personal life[edit]

Mr. Tropeano is a motivational speaker, author, and dedicated husband. He serves on the board of multiple charitable organizatioons.
