Kline began her studies at Woodbury University earning her Bachelor's degree in Advertising Design in 1977.[1] Later she served as an adjunct professor at the University teaching design and painting. She started her career as an advertising illustrator. While working full time, she met California Impressionist Helen Winslow and began private studies in Impressionistic painting. From the late 1980s until 1995, Kline studied old master painting techniques under Jan Valentine Saether.[1] at his Academy, Bruchion School of Art and Gnosis[3] In 2005, Kline left for Italy and studied at the Florence Academy of Art, Florence, Italy. She learned Advanced Figure Painting, Portraiture, Advanced Narrative Figures, and Plein Air and techniques of classical drawing and painting during their summer programs.[1][4]

In 2020, she was enrolled in Goldman Sachs 10k Small Business Program. The program helped small business owners create a growth plan and learn to implement it.[5] Kline founded Kline Academy of Fine Art in 2007 in Los Angeles, California.[6][7][8]

In 2006, Kline had her first solo museum exhibition at the Discovery Museum in CT.[1] In 2007, her work was accepted into the Royal Academy of Summer Exhibition in London.[1] She continues to exhibit throughout the United States.[3]
