Dawakin Kudu Science College, (now Sani Bello Science College), is a prominent public (government-run) secondary school situated in Dawakin-Kudu, Kano, Nigeria. Established in 1977^[1] under the then military governor Colonel Sani Bello^[2], the College holds the distinction of being one of the first two^[3] ^[4] science secondary schools established in Kano State, through the Science Schools Project (the Dawaki Experiment)^[5]. Until 1999, it was known as Dawakin Kudu Science Secondary School. The College falls under the purview of the Science and Technical Schools Board (STSB)^[6] of Kano State. The Board manages a network of over forty colleges across the state, playing a pivotal role in promoting science and technical education.

Dawakin Kudu Science College boasts a distinguished alumni network: graduates who have carved successful careers in diverse fields - engineers, doctors and university professors, making significant contributions on both national and international stages. Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo former deputy governor, Kano State (2007-2011), and Minister of State of State, Housing and Development, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing.^[8]
Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammad (Class 84) - a professor of biotechnology, and Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutse (2021 - date).
Balarabe Sarki Sagagi a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State.
