Assyrians have faced human rights violations by the government of the autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan since its foundation in 1992. Kurdish officials have been accused of a multitude of violations that constitute ethnic cleansing, arbitrary detention, threats of violence, intimidation, and Kurdification.
