Ivelina Momcheva (born 1980) is a Bulgarian astronomer, focusing on galaxy evolution and known for her research regarding gravitational leaning and galaxy clusters. She is the project manager for the Hubble Treasury Program 3D-HST.[1]
The minor planet 8260 Momcheva is named after her. The planet was discovered on September 23rd, 1984, at the Bulgarian National Observatory in Smolyan.[2]
