Jermaine Chidera Okpe (born October 5, 1998) is a Nigerian media executive, entertainment entrepreneur, event host and podcaster. He is popularly known as Jermaine Okpe or Jermaine OG. He is best known as the host of the BTS Reality Podcast, and the convener of the BTS Masterclass and the Prom Tour.[1][2]

Career[edit]

Jermaine Okpe founded his entertainment company, Jermaine Media in 2016 during his gap year at Bowen University.[3] In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began hosting an online masterclass on his social media platforms tagged "BTS Masterclass", which is an abbreviation for "Behind the Story". The online masterclass grew in popularity until it culminated into an in-person event, which held in 2021 during the 5th year anniversary of Jermaine Media.[1] The event has played host to entertainers such as Dr. Sid, Denrele Edun and Dorathy Bachor.[4]

In 2020, Jermaine transitioned into hosting live events and backstage moments with entertainers at concerts and events across Nigeria, producing exclusive footage, which brought him notoriety.[5] He also embarked on a "Prom Tour" of private schools across Nigeria in 2017.[1][6][7] He was listed as "one to watch" by YNaija in 2020, as one of the tech-savvy young Nigerians bringing change in the post-COVID era.[8]

In 2023, Jermaine began the BTS Reality Podcast, an entertainment podcast, which features celebrities and public personalities unpacking the stories behind their successes. The podcast has garnered millions of views across several social media platforms where it streams.[9]
