[Kiko King & creativemaze] (2009– ) is a Berlin based cross-genre project whose approach to music is reminiscent of the rough electro-minimal wave with its dark, uncompromising beats and gentle harmonies mixed with uplifting, heartfelt lyrics.[1]
Biography[edit]
The frontman of the group is Kiko King aka KK. Also known as Tin Man.
His father was in the 1970's Black panther party revolutionary, along with close friends and members such as Angela Davis, Fred Hampton, Eldridge Cleaver, Huey P. Newton & Bobby Seale to name a few. His mother sang background for Mariah Carey and Luther Vandross at one point.
Producer creativemaze, who's father is a watch-maker, provides the perfect sonic foundation for Kiko. He impresses with his understanding of broad, atmospheric soundscapes inspired by a healthy mix of imagination and perfectionism. In his productions he moves freely through a multitude of genres while always maintaining his unique musical fingerprint.
Toured with the likes of Massive Attack, GUS GUS, Morcheeba & Tricky. With whom they have an EP.....'OBIA'.

Career[edit]
Formed in 2009 in the Neukölln underground scene of Berlin, Hyena Clan / KKCM quickly carved out a niche for themselves. The band garnered attention for their independent spirit, famously rejecting offers from major labels like Sony, Universal, and Warner Music.
Instead, they opted for Mesanic Productions and BMG, a move that resulted in the release of their vinyl records. However, the collaboration with Mesanic proved to be short-lived, and Hyena Clan / KKCM found themselves back in the underground music circuit.
Undeterred, they signed with mindmap-music and took control of their artistic direction by establishing their own label, Airbendermusic. This move allowed them to maintain creative freedom and express their unique sound without compromise.
KKCM has another project by the name of CLEARPORT, with Frankie Balou.
Their Debut EP will be released in june 2024.
KKCM will release a EP with 3D audio. Called 'Best of Kiko King & creativemaze' compiled, mixed and mastered by Grammy nominated Fritz Hilpert (former Kraftwerk member)
