On January 11, 2019, she was revealed as a member of the children's co-ed group Play With Me Club.[3] The group made their debut with with the first digital single, "Let’s Play", on December 16, 2020.[4] At the time, she appeared as a regular guest on the children's television show Tok! Tok! Boni Hani! as past of a co-ed dance group named SIXDANCE.[5] Lee departed from the group and the show in May 2021.[5]

2022–present: Debut with NewJeans[edit]

On July 1, 2022, ADOR teased the launch of their new girl group, NewJeans, by posting three animated videos of the numbers "22", "7" and "22" on their social media accounts, fueling speculation that content would be released on July 22.[6][7][8] The group released the music video for their debut single "Attention" on July 22 as a surprise release, without any prior promotion or information regarding the group's lineup or concept.[9] "Attention" debuted atop South Korea's Circle Digital Chart and won Best K-pop Song at the 20th Korean Music Awards.[10][11] NewJeans quickly rose to widespread popularity with the success of their following releases, "Hype Boy", "Ditto" and "OMG".[12] Their albums, New Jeans and OMG, both sold over 1 million copies upon release.[13][14]

In February 2024, Lee featured along with singer Cho Won-sun on the track "Shh..." from The Winning, the eleventh EP by singer-songwriter IU.[15]
