- Comment: Please have a look at WP:REFB to see how references should be written. The paragraph about archery in Sweden is not relevant in this article – remove that, and any other text that is only tangentially related. That also applies to sources that don't mention Bojanic Dennius, such as the homepage of her elementary school or that of Shiai IF. bonadea contributions talk 21:05, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

Niki (born December, 2005) is a Swedish archer who competes in Recurve Archery. She is a member of the Swedish National Youth Archery Team.[1] and is currently number one ranked in Sweden in her class, Women's Recurve Junior. In addition she is a National Record Holder[2] in both Cadet and Junior class. At the question of what she wants to accomplish in her archery career, she responds "Just to be the one that every archer wants to beat".
Personal life[edit]
Niki completed elementary school at an International School in Stockholm (Futura International School Rådan[3]). She was there from the age of 6 until High School.
As a child, Niki was trying out different sports like Aikido, Karate[4] and Alpine skiing just to mention few. Niki started competing at an early age, she was only 8 years when she entered her first karate competition, both in kata and free fighting[5]. Niki is still practicing karate and in 2020, at an age of 14 years, she became a black belt[4]. When Niki was 11 years she started competing in down hill skiing at club level. At that time archery and karate was taking most of her free time outside school. Nowadays skiing is only a leisure activity.
Archery Career[edit]
Niki first came in contact with archery when she was at a medieval fair where she tried out a longbow. A year later she was shooting barebow at a local archery club[6]. Niki started competing with Recurve in the cub class at first. One of her first Cadet appearance was at Swedish Youth Nationals Indoor, shooting at 12m and 40cm target and Niki finished 2nd[7]
It took many years until Niki started with regular practice sessions in archery, actually it was not until summer of 2020 that she increased her practice frequency. Niki was already ranked number one in Sweden, in Recurve Cadet class, at that time.
Archery in Sweden isn't any of the main sports, and because of that it doesn't have the same government support. There are no professional coaches and no professional archery clubs. All coaching and training is made at club level by voluntary work normally performed by a fellow archer or parent. Even athletes at national level are coached by volunteers, what that means is that neither the head coach for the National Team or any of the other people involved at that level are payed. Most of the cost of traveling for domestic practice, competition, and international championships are payed by the participants themself. To reach a high international level as a Swedish Archer, practicing and competing only at the national level under those circumstances, is a hard task which needs good training moral and a big dedication by the athletes.[8]
During 2019, Niki got selected for the Junior Team Sweden (National team)[1] and had her first appearance representing Sweden during the World Archery Youth Championship in Wroclaw[9], August 2021. Niki finished at an 33rd place after winning her first final round.
Other international appearances are:
Las Vegas 2020, 5th place in Cadet Women's Recurve[10]
Indoor World Series 2020-21, Ranked 62 in Women's Recurve Open Ranking[11]
Nordic Youth Championship; 2018 Larvik 16th[12], 2019 Aalborg 9th[13], 2021Uppsala 3rd[14]
