Quincy Railroad Co. 2 is a 2-6-2T built in December 1924 by American Locomotive Company. On August 1970 George Adams sold the engine to the City of Hayward in California. On May 1971 the engine was loan to a project labor agreement from international health regulations before returning it to steam. On 1973 the engine was in service at the Castro Point Railway. In May 1986 the locomotive went to Canada and participated at steam expo 1986 in Vancouver British Columbia with the other engines. On 1987 after returning to California it was moved to the Niles Canyon Railway and it was placed into storage in 1990 for restoration. after the restoration was completed on 1992 it pulled passenger excursion trains until August 2000 where it went to a major overhaul on June 2002 the locomotive returned to service and did more excursion runs until on April 30 2017 it went into storage for a 1472 overhaul. As of 2024 the locomotive is undergoing restoration into operating condition.
