CSD request[edit]

You've requested deletion of Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine in order to move Draft:Chapter 2:The Tribes of Tatooine to that location. However, there is much more comprehensive article in the history, which you blanked. Are you looking for a deletion or a histmerge? -- Ponyobons mots 17:46, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am looking for a deletion, as most of the history of the blanked page was of copyediting violations and minor tweaks towards the target of the redirect. Cardei012597 (talk) 18:00, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean copyright violations? -- Ponyobons mots 18:01, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, I meant copyediting violations. User:Ulises1126 copied the text of Draft:Chapter 20: The Foundling, blanked the draft, and copy-pasted it to the redirect. The evidence of this can be found in the editing histories of both the draft and the redirect. Cardei012597 (talk) 18:04, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unattributed cut and pasting is a copyright issue (see WP:CUTPASTE). This is not a simple G6 deletion, so I'm going to copy this discussion to the talk page for another admin to review.-- Ponyobons mots 18:13, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Coming from here: User talk:Ulises1126#March 2023.
If the history is needed for any kind of investigation or anything, I'd recommend just moving it out of the way such that the history is preserved. Then the desired move can still take place. (It looks like the history pre-copy/paste is all redirect history that doesn't need preservation.) -2pou (talk) 18:52, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
