Summary

DescriptionDouble Switching.jpg	English: With a single switched relay, a single false feed in the wrong place can energize that relay when it should not, with unpredictable and even dangerous results. It the railway signalling environment, this may cause a signal to show green (go) when it is supposed to show red (stop). With a double switched relay, a single false feed does not on its own cause the relay to wrongly energize. Two false feeds (or the correct polarities) are needed to cause the relay to wrongly energize, which is much less likely.
