Description

Gordon Binns (1899-1976), 13th Reinforcements, 2nd Machine Gun Company (of the 1st Machine Gun Battalion), of Yarraville, Victoria, aged 18 (c. 1917). After returning to Australia, Binns became a bank manager and amateur ornithologist, notable for his contributions to the Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union.
