General Pio del Pilar National High School (abbreviated as: GPDPNHS, filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng Heneral Pio del Pilar, informal: Pio) is a Public Highschool School located in Osias St., Brgy. Poblacion, Makati. It offers the K-12 curriculum set by the Department of Education for its Grade 7 - 10 students.
History[edit]
Being the first private high school in Makati, Pio del Pilar Educational Institute (PDEI) did a pioneering venture not only in the field of private education but also in high school education in Makati. It was founded in 1947 by former Senator Jovito Salonga.[1]
Its first site was in J. Rizal Avenue cor. Escuela St. until it relocated in F. Zobel St. cor. Morong St., both in Barangay Poblacion.[1] PDEI's existence lasted until 1999 until it was bought by the School Board of the City Government of Makati.
After being purchased, it was renamed as “Makati High School – Pio Del Pilar Annex (MHS – PDP)” under the leadership of Ms. Ma. Corazon L. Jose as the Principal in June 2001.[2]
On June 28, 2002, it gained its independence thus becoming the General Pio del Pilar National Highschool providing quality education for its constituents.

Curriculum[edit]
General Pio del Pilar National Highschool follows the K-12 curriculum set by the Department of Education.
It offers Junior High School educational program but do not have their own Senior High School.
