Grayson Murphy (born October 13, 2000) is an American football outside linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played for the North Texas Mean Green and the UCLA Bruins.

High school career[edit]

Murphy attended Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas. He committed to the University of North Texas to play college football.[1]

College career[edit]

Murphy played at North Texas from 2019 to 2021 as a linebacker and defensive end.[2] In three years he started 14 of 25 games, recording 57 tackles and 11.5 sacks. After the 2021 season, he entered the transfer portal.[3]

Murphy transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).[4] In his first year at UCLA in 2022, he started all 13 games and had 27 tackles and five sacks. In 2023, he again started two games and had 33 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

Personal[edit]

Murphy's identical twin, Gabriel, played with him at North Texas and UCLA.[6][7]
