Julieta Vences Valencia

Julieta Vences Valencia (born 24 October 1986, Mexico City) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement.[1] Since September 1, 2018 she has been a federal deputy in the Congress of the Union, from 2018 to 2021 representing District 8 of the State of Puebla and since 2021 as a multi-member deputy.[2]

Early years[edit]

She obtained a law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a master's degree in constitutional law and amparo.[3] She is married to Carlos Alberto Evangelista, coordinator of Morena in the State of Puebla since 2020.[4]

Political career[edit]

In 2015 she was state advisor of the National Regeneration Movement party and regional leader of the Central de Organizaciones Campesinas y Populares del Estado de Puebla.[3]

In the 2018 elections, she was elected as federal deputy for District 8 of the State of Puebla, with head office in Chalchicomula de Sesma.[2] She assumed office on September 1, 2018, in the LXIV Legislature of the Congress of the Union. Within Congress, she was the president of the immigration affairs commission.[2] In the 2021 elections, she was appointed as a multi-member deputy in the LXIV Legislature of the Congress of the Union.[5]
